We sell three in-wall smart control panels: the T3E Pro, the 4-inch Alexa panel and the 8-inch T8 Pro. They look like siblings, but each does a different job. The T3E Pro is a smart switch plate with a screen. The 4-inch Alexa panel is a switch-sized Zigbee gateway with a voice assistant built in. The T8 Pro is a whole-home hub with an 8-inch Android screen, IR remote control and intercom. This guide compares them spec by spec, using the figures on each product listing, so you can choose the one that fits the room and the wiring you have.
The short answer
- Choose the T3E Pro if you want to replace one switch plate with a touchscreen that directly switches up to four circuits and runs scenes.
- Choose the 4-inch Alexa panel if you want one wall panel that is both the Zigbee gateway for the house (up to 100 devices) and an Alexa speaker.
- Choose the T8 Pro if you want a central screen for a larger home: 128+ Zigbee and Bluetooth devices, three IR remotes for existing ACs and TVs, camera intercom and music playback.

T3E Pro: a touchscreen that replaces a switch plate

The T3E Pro has a 4-gang relay built in, so it switches four circuits directly from the panel. You don’t need a separate relay module behind it. Its 4-inch HD IPS screen has dedicated tabs for scenes, switches, the dimmer and curtains. The listing says it controls lights, curtains and air conditioners, and it links scenes you set up yourself to a single touch.
It uses Zigbee and accepts voice commands through Alexa and Google Home. The listing describes relays and scenes but not a gateway function. If you want the panel itself to be the hub for other Zigbee devices around the house, choose one of the other two panels, which both list a built-in gateway.
Best for: a living room or bedroom entrance where you want to replace one switch plate with a screen that handles lights, a dimmer and curtains from one spot.
4-inch Alexa panel: a gateway and a voice assistant in a switch-sized box

This panel (model TPP01-Z) is built to be the centre of a smart home without taking more wall space than a switch. It has a built-in Zigbee gateway that supports up to 100 sub-devices, so it can replace a standalone hub. The listing also says it supports local control, meaning it can control those devices itself rather than doing everything remotely.
Alexa is built in, so the panel works as a voice assistant as well as a screen. You can also control it by voice through Google Home. If you pair a smart doorbell or camera, the panel shows who is outside when someone rings. Scenes can be triggered by touch or by voice.
It runs on Linux, uses a 480 × 480 capacitive IPS display, and connects over Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth. Setup is a one-time QR-code scan from the phone app.
Best for: an apartment or mid-sized home that is starting with Zigbee switches and sensors and wants the hub, voice assistant and a wall screen in one device.
T8 Pro: the 8-inch hub for a whole home

The T8 Pro is the only one of the three built for a whole house. It runs Android 11 on an 8-inch HD screen. It has separate Zigbee and Bluetooth chips, and together they support 128+ sub-devices, including Bluetooth BLE and BLE mesh devices, with local control.
Three features set it apart from the 4-inch panels:
- Three built-in universal IR remotes. The panel can send infrared commands, so devices you already control with a handheld remote, such as a split AC or a TV, can be added to its scenes.
- Intercom and camera preview. It shows live video from IP cameras, supports video and voice calls, and can call other panels and the phone app.
- Audio. A 2W speaker is built in, with outputs for two external speakers and support for Bluetooth speakers, so it can play music as well as run Alexa.
It also has two built-in relays rated at 200W each (400W total). That rating suits lighting circuits. For heavier loads, the catalogue has a separate 20 Amp smart power switch. Physical buttons on the panel can be assigned to devices or scenes. Its standard base provides RJ45 network, RS485 and amplifier connections.
Best for: a larger home that wants one central screen by the main entrance or in the lounge, covering lights, IR-controlled appliances, cameras and music.
Wiring and fitting: check these before you order
All three panels mount inside the wall, replacing a switch plate rather than sitting on a table. Check three things first:
- The back box. The T3E Pro and the 4-inch panel are listed for a European-standard wall box, and the T8 Pro for a standard plastic concealed box. Existing boxes vary from house to house, so have your electrician confirm the box at the spot you have chosen.
- The neutral wire. The 4-inch panel’s listed input is AC 100–240V, 50/60Hz, with a neutral wire. That range covers Pakistan’s 230V, 50Hz household supply, but the neutral must be present in that switch box. Ask your electrician to confirm it is there before you order.
- Where the relays sit. If the panel will switch lights directly (the T3E Pro’s four gangs or the T8 Pro’s two relays), those lighting circuits must run to that box.
Common questions
Which panel works with Google Home?
The T3E Pro and the 4-inch Alexa panel both list voice control through Alexa and Google Home. The T8 Pro lists Alexa built in and does not list Google Home, so ask us before choosing it for a Google Home setup.
Do I need a separate Zigbee hub?
Not with the 4-inch Alexa panel or the T8 Pro. Both have a gateway built in, for up to 100 and 128+ sub-devices respectively. The T3E Pro’s listing does not describe a gateway, so check with us about hub requirements before buying it on its own.
Can a panel control my existing split AC?
The T8 Pro has three universal IR remotes built in, which lets it send the same infrared commands as your AC’s handheld remote. Neither 4-inch panel lists IR control.
Can I use more than one panel in the same home?
The T8 Pro is designed for it: its listing includes direct communication between panels, as well as between a panel and the phone app. For the 4-inch panels, ask us about your planned layout.
